Canadian National Van Lines is consistently chosen as the cross border carrier due to the wide range of services we offer for families moving their life across the border.  No matter what your needs are, we have the services you need to ensure a smooth relocation.

The process is rather straightforward providing all of the necessary documentation is properly completed and prepared.  Your household goods and personal effect are permitted to enter the US Duty free providing they have been in your possession and used for at least 1 (one) year.

It is not necessary for customers to be present at the border at the time of crossing as we are able to clear your shipment providing the following documentation is in order.

It is important that all documentation is submitted to the carrier prior to crossing and on time to ensure that there are no problems. If there is a problem with your immigration status, US customs may return your shipment back. This may result in additional charges for border delays and cost of returning the shipment back to origin. Please make sure you speak with our trained moving co-ordinators who can assist you with the paperwork and ensure that this process is smooth for you and your family.

Last August I moved from Montreal to Halifax for university, I had an extremely limited budget but wanted to make sure that I got my stuff in time for classes.  I didn’t want to go with one of those fly by night companies to save a few dollars, but couldn’t afford the thousands of dollars I was being quoted by the big van lines.  I called Canadian National Van Lines to get a quote, of course I called around to other companies, but CNVL was the quickest to respond and the easiest to communicate with.  Great service, right on time and it didn’t break the bank.
